Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented financial analyst to join our Finance team.
The financial analyst will work on financial modeling, key metric reporting, financial reporting, forecasting and planning and other ad hoc projects. This is an ideal position for an individual who has strong analytical and quantitative skills, enjoys excel and powerpoint and is excited to learn and grow at a fast-growing and dynamic company
Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis
- Work with the Senior Financial Analyst on financial planning and analysis ("FP&A") responsibilities
- Gather industry intelligence and market research and data from various sources
- Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reporting and variance analysis insights for budget owners
- Analyze data and prepare KPI reports for distribution to senior management
- Assist in the development and updating of forecasting and budget models (annual, semi-annual, rolling forecasts and plan) which includes the modeling of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and capital expenditures
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, including building charts that provide meaningful visualizations of data
- Assist in the implementation of Finance and Accounting team technologies, including an ERP system and other tools
- Perform other ad hoc finance and business analyses/projects for stakeholders as needed
Skills & Requirements:
- BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Must have at least one year of experience in FP&A
- Strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals
- Highly detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analysis in verbal or written form
- Resourceful / able to find or develop compelling data
- Highly organized with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, results-oriented, has a positive attitude and hunger to learn
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- In-depth experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in real estate or marketing services industries a plus
- Experience with financial software like Quickbooks/Adaptive Insights/NetSuite or others is a plus
