Director of Business Operations
Q2 is seeking a Director of Business Operations to join the Banking as a Service team. This individual will have a passion for financial planning, business operations analysis, technology, risk management, collaboration, and planning, along with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation. Responsible for financial and operational analysis, process improvement, resource and capacity planning, financial management, and data analysis. Exercises a significant level of independent judgment and execution.
The Director of Business Operations will deliver excellent reporting and maintain clear and concise communication with all levels of management both within and across organizations. This individual will lead high performance teams to achieve excellence in delivery through coaching and mentoring of team members to help them achieve individual expectations and deliverables. Additionally, this individual will assess resource loads and make appropriate individual assignments while serving as a key liaison with the rest of the functional groups and business facilitating planning, prioritization, and collaboration between groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Key role in budgeting, forecasting, and the associated analytics
- Identifies and interprets implications of drivers and trends for business strategy
- Consolidates and analyzes operational and financial information and trends from internal and external sources and communicates results and recommendations to Senior Management
- Develops models, processes, and reports to track key business metrics, analyze and interpret data
- Assists Sales in deal analysis and pricing decisions
- Identifies operational and financial trends and leads analysis to proactively address business issues
- Drives enhancement of policies, procedures and business practices that improve efficiency within the function and the business
- Acts as a consultant to help internal clients understand the financial impact of their business decisions, providing alternatives with accompanying analytics
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Works closely with the accounting team to ensure actual expenses are within budget and recorded appropriately
- Creates and manage Key Performance Indicators that are monitored and reported monthly
- Distills large quantities of data into meaningful conclusions and associated action items, avoiding delays on over analysis
- Creates and oversees reporting activities, develops quality control mechanisms and content for management reports
- Develops and deliver presentations advising leadership on business unit performance against plan and identifies opportunities to correct course where needed
- Drives process, relationships and mechanics of demand and capacity planning for all of BaaS Operations
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 12+ years of Finance and Operational Analysis experience or 8+ years with an advanced degree and 5-7 years managing and developing employees
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting/budgeting practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and indicators of future performance
- Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions
- Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Background in financial services, information technology and/or software is a definite advantage, particularly SaaS, including software revenue recognition
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional working relationships and add value as a financial business partner
- Proven process improvement skills with a track record of operational success
- Excellence in leadership and coaching toward high performance, by example and direction
- Proven team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
- Keen attention to detail while keeping an eye toward the big picture
- Enterprise/mid-sized software delivery experience preferred
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and demanding constraints
- Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize, and resolve issues in a timely manner within a high-pressure environment
- Innate desire and ability to find the root cause of issues, while balancing business needs to identify, support, and solve customer needs
- Knowledge of banking practices is helpful
