Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

RigUp is hiring a Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting who will be in charge of monthly and annual financial reporting requirements, developing and managing the accounting processes of a growing portfolio of revenue models, advising the business teams on accounting and operational impacts of new product offerings and supporting the technical accounting conclusions across all process. This role will partner closely with a large team of cross-functional business partners, and the broader finance team to develop scalable accounting and operational solutions for revenue recognition evaluation. What you'll be doing:
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation of all external financial reports, ensuring financial statements are in accordance with GAAP guidelines
- Lead and establish financial reporting policies and framework to support financial statement close, including related controls.
- Drafting technical accounting memos for all one-time or unique transactions, including disclosure requirements
- Support the annual financial statement audit and work closely with the external auditors to ensure upfront issue management
- Staying up to date on new technical developments, abreast of technical accounting and reporting matters and addresses any potential impact on the Company
- Ensure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a consolidated basis
- Provide revenue recognition guidance and training to cross-functional departments including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Transaction Operations
- Evaluate existing and new contracts for revenue recognition in line with ASC 606
What you should have:
- 6-8 years of accounting experience
- 5+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- SEC financial reporting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA license
- Exceptional project management skills
