Manager, FP&A
Favor Finance is growing! Favor is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Finance leader who has a deep passion for working at high-growth companies. In this role, you will actively partner with leadership on the development of business strategies, and play a key role in planning, forecasting and reporting on financial and operational performance and trends. In addition, you will be responsible for leading and supporting high-impact, cross-functional projects to improve the business in the short and long term. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an operational mindset and the ability to think critically, translate data into actionable insights, and provide creative solutions to complex business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing, monitoring and reporting on daily and monthly performance to identify trends, explain performance to plan/forecast, and monitor operational and financial health across all areas of the business
- Supporting operational teams in setting up reporting infrastructure and ongoing forecasting and key analysis
- Educate internal teams on financial impact of key performance metrics
- Managing financial reporting infrastructure that connects and bridges three main data hubs: internal financial data mart, Accounting system data and internal financial forecasts
- Partner with executive and leadership teams to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for the achievement of company-wide initiatives
- Play a key role in annual strategic financial planning and quarterly cross-functional forecasting processes
- Build, maintain and enhance rolling, quarterly and annual forecasting models
- Proactively perform financial and operational analysis and modeling to deepen our understanding of the business, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend next steps
- Assist in developing company-wide budget policies and processes as well as the creation of reports to analyze and track budgets and expenses by department
- Assist in preparing materials and narratives needed for Board meetings, and internal quarterly all-hands meetings and weekly Town-Hall meetings
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, consulting or relevant field, preferably within a high growth environment
- 2+ years of direct experience building full three-statement financial statement models and associated analysis
- 2+ years of managerial (managing direct reports) experience Advanced level of Microsoft Excel knowledge
Ideal Candidates:
- Moderate level of accounting concepts and familiarity with BI tools, relational database concepts and SQL query scripting are a plus
- Strong communication skills, written, verbal and presentation creation -- ability to simplify complex ideas, financial results and metrics into a clear and concise narrative
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
- Strong, consistent work ethic with a keen attention to details and ability to focus on the big picture
- Ability to multitask, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and passion, be agile and work well in a multifaceted environment
- Hardworking team player with a positive attitude and an ability to build relationships and communicate with confidence and tact across all levels within the company
