Provides administrative, transactional and program execution support within the Merchandising area. Duties are varied but will primarily include the manual entry, maintenance, auditing, and collation of large data sets and files. Ensures deliveries are monitored for accurate and timely completion. Ensures effective planning, calendar management, effective communication to multiple stakeholders, and internal collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Category Managers and Assistant Category Managers throughout the category review process for assigned categories with tasks such as:
    • Compiles and organizes new item submissions.
    • Schedule category review meetings and assembles supporting tools.
    • Manages samples including ordering, pick up, distribution and sample room maintenance.
    • Coordinates samples for photo shoots.
    • Tracks off process and manual assortment changes
    • Monitors new item reports, surfaces issues and follows through to completion/readiness.
    • Enters supplier and distributor changes in all systems
    • Data maintenance and auditing in assortment tools and systems.
    • New supplier on-boarding
    • Automated supplier communication
  • Supports Category Managers, Assistant Category Managers and Promo Execution team with accurate execution of promo process with tasks such as:
    • Support collection of promo submission forms from suppliers
    • Enters simple promos into collaboration tool
    • Audits and researches promo issues and submits corrections into system.
  • Runs and gathers established internal and 3rd party reports.
  • Maintains merchandising supplier contact list.
  • Monitors non-round work reports and follows through to completion.
  • Audits and ensures supplier cost contract accuracy and captures signatures via Docusign.
  • Researches and resolves item issues checking multiple systems and teams for answers.
  • Monitors data maintenance requests and reports and follows through to completion.
  • Assist with coordinating team meetings and newsletters.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Actively participates in team meetings.

 

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with merchandising, purchasing or related administrative support.
  • Desire and ability to learn new applications and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Excel, with the ability to perform intermediate skills such as VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong math, reading, analytical, and deductive / inductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to write and proof-read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Listens to and asks questions to understand team, partner and customer needs and seek clarification.
  • Develops working relationships with internal team and supported work groups.
  • Organizes and completes tasks according to assigned priorities.
  • Shows initiative by asking questions and seeking to increase own knowledge and contribution.
  • Provides regular updates on work progression.
  • Ensures accuracy of data and information provided to team and other stakeholders.
