Your Impact

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to own and optimize the end to end procurement process at DISCO.  This role will be responsible for increasing velocity and transparency in the procurement process, as well as, identifying areas for cost savings.  You will be part of the Finance team but will work across the company with routine interactions with Legal, Operations, Department Managers and the Senior Leadership Team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide cost savings through Vendor negotiations
  • Negotiate commercial terms and collaborate with the Legal department to deliver agreements that meet DISCO’s needs
  • Assist in the implementation of a vendor contract management system
  • Proactively develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
  • Work closely with the Legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company
  • Assess and validate current and future vendor capabilities to ensure DISCO is working with the best vendors that deliver on pricing, quality, and service requirements
  • Assist in the resolution of any vendor invoice queries raised by the AP team
  • Build, maintain, and manage vendor relationships through effective communication
  • Ensure Department Managers have a clear understanding of purchasing policies, finance policies and signing authority
  • Assist in the design and implementation internal controls related to the procure to pay process
  • Establish performance KPIs, goals, and reporting to keep leadership appraised of cost savings and other areas of impact
  • Evaluate procurement policies and take ownership over changes as needed

Who You Are

  • A strong negotiator with a track-record in delivering savings and improved terms
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts and invoices
  • Ability to inspire change, handle issues, bring together disparate points of view, make decisions, gain agreement, and build consensus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Process and problem-solving oriented with an appreciation for financial controls 
  • Experience with selection and implementation of software and tools
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years purchasing experience

Even Better If You…

  • Experience with an eProcurement solution (e.g., Coupa)
  • Have previous experience at a high growth software company
  • Have previous experience with NetSuite
