We are seeking an SEC Reporting & Technical Senior Accounting Associate. This position reports to the SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager and is primarily responsible for assisting with the (1) preparation of the Company’s financial statements and related disclosures to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and (2) documentation of technical accounting treatment/positions.


This role is based in Austin, Texas. 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Responsible for preparing the consolidated financial statements for SEC Reporting purposes, including quarterly, annual, and ad hoc fillings.
  • Assist in building the SEC Reporting & Disclosure process, including communication of SEC reporting deadlines and information requests, through to the implementation of the SOX internal control framework.
  • Assist with the preparation of the consolidated cash flow statement.
  • Assist with the valuation of equity awards and calculation of share-based payment expense on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of complex financial statement footnotes, including business combinations and share- based compensation.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of and stay abreast of changes to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Work closely with various other departments and teams in determining reporting requirements and deadlines and to ensure completeness and accuracy of the documentation related to complex accounting matters
  • Perform technical accounting research on complex accounting and reporting matters, business transactions and new business operations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of public accounting or relevant financial reporting experience, experience on public clients within a Big 4 firm strongly preferred
  • Experience with Workiva and NetSuite a plus, but not required
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams
