Jungle Scout is killing it! We’re educating and empowering tens of thousands of entrepreneurs as they build freedom and financial independence by selling on Amazon. In less than three years, we’ve grown from a solo founder to a global team of 70 with triple-digit revenue growth.

Now we’re looking for Senior Accountant as we continue to build out our finance team. You’ll support the current finance team to timely and accurately perform various tasks needed to own the monthly close. This position will also be responsible for assisting in developing processes and procedures to ensure all general ledger activity is maintained in accordance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a forward-thinking approach to efficient accounting processes.

What you’ll do:

• Monthly Close. You’ll prepare accurate & timely financial statements, accruals, and journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as part of the monthly close process.
• Reconciliations. On a monthly basis, you will conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance as well as be responsible for reconciling assigned balance sheets and income statement accounts.
• Process Maintenance and Resolution. You have the ability to identify process/control weaknesses and work independently to find resolutions. You’ll maintain company accounting procedures and processes and ensure compliance of all internal processes.
• Financial Reporting. You’ll work with department leaders to provide financial reporting & transparency.
• Information Preparation. You’ll assist in the preparation of financial information for taxes, regulatory agencies, and necessary stakeholders.
• General Ledger. You’ll manage the general ledger and assist in month-end/year-end close processes.
• Audit and Tax Returns. You’ll assist with external audit and tax return prep.
• Tool Migration. We’re migrating from Quickbooks Online to Intacct so we’ll need your help!

Who you are:

• A CPA. You have your CPA designation with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• SaaS Financial Professional. You’ve got a minimum of  3-5 years of public accounting experience and/or private company experience within the SaaS industry.
• Independent Critical Thinker. You have strong critical thinking skills, display intellectual curiosity, have superb problem-solving skills and work well in high-growth environments.
• A GAAP Knowledgebase. You have a good understanding of GAAP, experience with consolidations and foreign currency is a plus.
• Financial Report Analyst. You can independently analyze financial records and interpret them for other departments.
• Excel Wizard. Creating and using intricate spreadsheets, pivot tables and complex formulas is your jam!

Bonus:

• Experience with a software system implementation a plus
• Prior experience with Intacct, Bill.com and/or Nexonia a plus
