Your Job:

Reporting to the CEO, PLANOLY is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join our small, but growing team. You will play a critical role in building a world class Accounting function. On a regular basis, you will collaborate with the CEO ensuring financial processes are operating correctly. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, and be able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You work with a mindset to take on new tasks, operationalize and refine them, and move on to new additional responsibilities. 

How you will make an impact:

• You will perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation, and posting of journal entries
• You will record all entries and ensure they are properly supported
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Build spreadsheets and models to streamline accounting operations from a systems and process perspective
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc research and analysis
• Responsible for the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables function
• Other duties include managing payroll, expense report reimbursements, and the development of policies/procedures/internal controls 
• Ensuring all accounting processes align with GAAP principles
• Collaborate with other departments on special projects

Who you are:

• 4+ years experience in public or corporate accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred or equivalent related experience 
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to identify issues, interpret and apply accounting policies
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables, and experience with large datasets
• Demonstrated revenue related experience with SaaS and/or subscription based revenue models
• Financial planning (ie: budgeting, projections, forecasting) experience is a plus
• Experience working with the Big 4 a plus
• Experience with Quickbooks Online
• CPA or CPA-candidate preferred
• Self-starter who is comfortable with a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Thrives in a constantly changing environment and is creative in finding solutions
