As a Senior Accountant, you will assist with the day-to-day accounting operations of the company to include recording of transactions, maintenance of accounting records, and ensuring the reported results comply with GAAP. Additionally, this person will assist with NetSuite implementation projects planned for execution. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Weekly and monthly account reconciliations
  • Create journal entries for financial transactions in NetSuite
  • Complete monthly and quarterly flux analyses to identify & resolve issues that cause discrepancies
  • Account for and maintain assets such as Cash, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Intangibles & Inventory
  • Account for and maintain liabilities such as accrued benefits & expenses and operating lease liabilities
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
  • Complete the operation of internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX 404
  • Assist with NetSuite implementation projects planned for execution
  • Analyze and make recommendations for process improvements and to create efficiencies across various business processes
  • Assist in the establishment and standardization of business processes
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Skilled at summarizing and analyzing accounting information
  • Skilled at recording and documenting financial transactions
  • Demonstrated the ability to critically think through financial accounting scenarios
  • Ability to raise issues & concerns and problem solve
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills; ability to handle change
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Windows
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, sponsors and vendors
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant required
  • 3+ years of either public accounting experience or accounting experience at a large corporation.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to multi-task/prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NetSuite experience.
  • Experience in the operation of internal controls and compliance with SOX 404

Additional Requirements:

  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud.
  • Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
