Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) - Reporting and Analytics

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team, managing monthly reporting processes through cross-functional collaboration and process management. This position will be responsible for driving standardization and efficiencies into existing reporting processes, working directly with the Controller, Assistance Controller, and the Business Applications team, in the production of our Monthly Reporting Package and Management Discussion & Analysis for review with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). In addition to managing reporting processes, the Senior Financial Analyst will rely on their communication and presentation skills to interpret and translate monthly activity and variances to the ELT, to help them better understand company performance.

About the Role

Manage monthly reporting processes, including internal and external (BOD, owner, investor, lender) reporting packages
In addition to managing existing processes, this role will be heavily focused on driving efficiencies into those processes through collaboration with reporting contributors and systems admins
Work closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Sales Ops teams, to automate data preparation and reporting, from conceptualization to implementation
Cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Marketing, and Professional Services, etc., to drive metrics identification/creation/reporting/analysis
Assist in the creation and delivery of several key documents for the Executive Leadership Team, including but not limited to reporting packages, forecast packages, budget/forecast vs actuals commentary, and risk and opportunity analyses
As an essential member of the FP&A team, you will be expected to be flexible and assist with ad hoc projects
Support preparation of presentation material for Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Budgets

About You

Strong academic knowledge of accounting and finance, with solid, hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
Experience in managing cross-functional teams in completing recurring processes and ad-hoc projects
Well-organized, with the ability to contribute to multiple projects within tight timelines
Extreme attention to detail
Thorough knowledge of Excel, and working knowledge of relational databases
Experience in performing data ETL processes to combine and analyze disparate data sources
Experience with reporting and forecasting tools, such as Adaptive Planning
Strong qualitative and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated passion for using data to drive decision making
A team player, willing and able to help out other members of the team when needed
An inquisitive nature, someone who wants to explore variances and understand the root cause
An individual who is able to work effectively in a complex, dynamic environment and adapt to change without losing focus on key goals and objectives
Strong presentation skills
