Ascension is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Merchant Services, Treasury to join the team in a remote position.
The Senior Financial Analyst - Merchant Services, Treasury will report to the Treasury Director and is responsible for merchant services setup, validation, ongoing support and monthly analysis. This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert on credit card/merchant services including: interchange rates, interchange programs, merchant category codes, processing fees, and other aspects related to card processing.
What You Will Do

• Documents and reviews all merchant services requests/applications for all of Ascension
• Maintains a real time master index of all agreements and accounts related to merchant services processing.
• Performs annual review to ensure all merchant IDs, settlement accounts, contacts and credit card equipment are accurate within master index and all accounts/equipment that should be retired have been
• Supports system initiative to standardize bank documentation, transforming from decentralized market-based documentation structure to centralized Ascension contracting approach
• Monitor merchant services fees and analysis to agreements
• Collaborates with merchant processors, banks and internal Ascension entities and individuals to execute all required documentation in a timely manner. Establishes and maintains a central repository for all merchant services documentation
• Research changes to merchant services regulations, assess impact on Ascension and assist with appropriately responding
• Perform special assignments or projects as directed
• Collaborates with system-wide organizations and merchant partner on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues
• Provides training and support for system-wide associates related to efficient and compliant credit card processing
• Serves as a primary backup for other Merchant Services team members
• Assist with the development of Ascension Treasury governance and implementation of best practices, controls, policies and procedures
• Develops and maintains a desktop procedure manual for all assigned activities
• Promotes and exemplifies and supports the Ascension Core Values of Services of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication

What You Will Need
Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

• Three to five years experience preferred within corporate treasury merchant services programs.
