The Senior Financial Analyst - Research and Development will be a key member of the Finance Team and report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and work directly with the Chief Technology and Product Officer. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, operationally oriented professional who is able to aggregate and interpret financial data to help management translate strategy into actionable plans.
This role is budgeted in the $105,000- $115,000.00 base salary range. Salary will ultimately be based on a candidate's experience and external market factors.
Responsibilities

• Develop trusted finance business partner relationship with R&D teams
• Provide insight and strategic decision support to the R&D and Technical Operations teams through reporting and forecasting/analytical processes
• Work across software solutions to determine unit economics and refine product-level profitability reporting
• Conduct ROI analysis and develop stage gate processes for R&D investments and roadmap (e.g. assess ROI of certain feature additions)
• Coordinate budget development; partner with department heads in preparing, implementing and controlling expenditures
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Analyze financial results, distill key trends, assess current and future business risk, and communicate key messages to senior management to drive decision making
• Contribute to the development of the company's Annual Operating Plan
• Learn Khoros' Anaplan model and assist the team in making improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience with Anaplan, NetSuite, FinancialForce & Salesforce preferred
• Ability to make configuration changes and updates to ERP models a plus
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to quickly grasp and apply concepts
• Previous experience with enterprise software and SaaS/subscription business models preferred
• Ability to perform in a highly demanding and unstructured environment while consistently adhering to deadlines
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to consider understand cross-functional implications
• Must be capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, especially within the Finance & Accounting departments
• Articulate communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
