Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join Procore's Internal Audit department. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain our SOX program as a newly public company, helping to shape the brand and reputation of Internal Audit to drive improvements and efficiency. This role is crucial in helping us achieve our first year of SOX 404 compliance in 2022.

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you'll partner with leaders in Finance, Accounting, Legal, Talent, and IT to consult on the design of controls, partner on issue resolution, and test the effectiveness of controls. Use your business acumen, collaboration, and entrepreneurial mindset, to synthesize and visualize data and recommend options to achieve Procore's business outcomes. This position reports into our Head of Internal Audit and will be remote. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do: 

  • Build test plans, coordinate third-party testing, and perform and review testing

  • Document and maintain process documentation (e.g., process narratives, flowcharts, RCMs) 

  • Manage and maintain ICFR software Auditboard

  • Track and partner with control owners on remediation of any deficiencies

  • Assess process effectiveness and efficiency and provide options to achieve business outcomes while improving processes and controls

  • Take ownership of drafting internal audit reports and tracking issues; develop, document, and execute audit test steps

  • Facilitate the identification, reporting, and monitoring of enterprise risks 

  • Analyze trends in enterprise risks, report to management, and escalate developments that might indicate changes in risk profile

What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MS and/or MBA preferred

  • CIA, CPA, and/or CFE preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting/consulting or as an in-house internal auditor

  • Experience working on SOX programs for 404b SOX-compliant public companies

  • Continually foster alignment where there is uncertainty or ambiguity over roles or processes 

  • Anticipate changes to Procores control environment by having a thorough understanding of changes to the overall business. 

  • Desire to continuously grow and improve your IA knowledge and add value to Procore
