This role will be responsible for the entire revenue recognition process which includes Care@Work and Care Core revenue streams and the applicable accounts receivable process.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Develop, train, prioritize and manage the revenue accounting team as they perform regular revenue accounting activities, including invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Coordinate efforts to meet monthly close schedule while ensuring that required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed in accordance with GAAP
- Provide control recommendations in order to address key risks in manual and system-based processes relevant to revenue
- Make recommendations to improve efficiency and/or accuracy of revenue processes
- Work closely with the Sales team, Legal team, and IAC technical accounting team to evaluate revenue recognition impacts of new sales contracts
- Collaborate with other members of finance and IAC technical accounting in providing accounting guidance on complex and unusual transactions
- Analyze the accounts receivable aging report and work with the sales team to ensure collectability of outstanding balances.
- Liaison with general accounting to ensure that sales tax is correctly applied to invoices
- Work closely with information technology to identify solutions for process improvement centered around integrations between front end systems and Workday
- Participate in annual audits and special projects and work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree and CPA is required
- 6+ years of experience, primarily from public accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with high competence in ASC 606
- Technology industry experience a plus
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Demonstrable experience in managing and coaching teams effectively
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills, as well as ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
