ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Accounting Manager and be responsible for managing finance and accounting operations for Babylon’s US group of subsidiaries. You will have an integral role to play on the accounting team. Reporting to the US Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for accounting for the US entities.

This role is ideally based in Austin, Texas. However we are open to candidates seeking remote working also.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

• Maintain general ledger (NetSuite) and sub-ledgers, prepare journal entries and perform monthly, quarterly and year end close activities
• Prepare accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and financial variance reports
• Monthly accounting for accruals, payroll, vacation accruals, prepaids, accounts receivables
• Prepare and post assigned journal entries on a timely basis and with proper documentation
• Perform monthly analysis on P&L activity, understand and document variances Complete monthly bank reconciliations for various subsidiaries
• Assist with the analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet trending and provide inputs to the financial close review process
• Assist with driving process improvements and automation within NetSuite across various accounting areas

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and are working towards your CPA
• 6+ years of professional accounting experience (Big 4 or similar experience preferred)
• Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards
• Prior experience related to general ledger and sub-ledger accounting processes and procedures, including analytics and financial reporting
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize key deliverables with strict deadlines
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) experience
• Results oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated team player
