We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the monthly close process including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and accounts payable. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and play a significant role in monitoring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies. A successful candidate will be meticulous, dedicated, detail oriented and resilient to the demands of the business. They will keep a positive attitude, embrace the challenges a fast-growing start-up brings and view challenges as growth opportunities.

What You'll Do...

  • Assist Accounting Manager with monthly close procedures, owning the process and driving it forward.
  • Record business transactions throughout the accounting period, book accruals and adjusting entries as necessary.
  • Perform monthly balance sheets reconciliations and reconcile 20+ cash and credit card accounts.
  • Perform accounts payable duties: verify invoices for payment, perform 3 way match, and interact with vendors, as necessary.
  • Review current accounting policies and procedures. Participate in documenting best practices.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and remittance of sales tax.
  • Manage requests from external audit and tax teams.
  • Assist with the implementations and integrations of new accounting systems and processes.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

What You'll Need...

  • CPA
  • Big 4 experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills

  • NetSuite experience
  • E-commerce/subscription experience
  • Prior start-up experience in accounting
