Sr. Finance Analyst
Position Summary: The Sr. Finance Analyst will be a detail-oriented professional that will integrate into a small but impactful Finance team. This position will be report to the Finance Manager and work with the broader Finance and Accounting teams to execute all operational and project FP&A activities. This position will be expected to support critical analysis and partner with other functional areas of the company. A successful candidate will be proactive, curious, and always looking for areas of improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following:
- Prepare, maintain, and review budget and forecast templates for various departments within the organization
- Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly management reports
- Prepare and provide accurate and timely analyses that collect and communicate business results, variances, and performance trends and make recommendations to drive profitability
- Work closely with key business partners to identify and mitigate issues impeding the achievement of business goals, to include but not limited to, reviewing vendor contracts
- Utilize financial and operational data for advanced planning, forecasting, modeling, what-if analysis, and ad hoc analysis
- Ensures key drivers behind budgets and estimates are understood and clearly communicated to management
- Act as an intermediary between Procurement/Accounts Payable and Finance, assisting with SOWs, purchase orders, change orders, and invoicing as required
- Challenge processes and the status quo to drive improvements.
- Support data analysis of various projects
- Support plan analysis, test for accuracy and consistency
- Support FP&A process design and continuous improvement efforts
- Support effective cost control and cost management behavior

Education/Experience: The ideal candidate will offer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in FP&A roles or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to sort/mine large sets of data from multiple data sources
- Capable of building strong cross-functional relationships with department heads to help correlate operational goals with their financial impacts
- Excellent communicator who is clear and concise in explaining complex data sets and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to structure problems, analyze data, and convert to actionable insights
- Ability to multi-task and execute special projects as they arise
- Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
- Ability to be analytical and handle data effectively
- Confident with handling sensitive information and making sound recommendations based on supporting information
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
- Good analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
- Experience in working with BI tools (QlikView, Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Experience with Oracle/NetSuite is a plus
