The Staff Accountant II supports the accounting department in areas focused on the daily processing of, property, fund, banking, and other various transactions. This position will report to Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors.

  • Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts

  • Prepare ad hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

  • Review, research and adjust tenant’s ledger

  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

  • Assists in providing schedules and commentary with respects to financial/account results and variances

  • Assist in data collection and the required analysis for all external audits, internal audits, and tax compliance requests by providing documentation support and supporting conclusions

  • Takes initiative for problem-solving within the team

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance

  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, intermediate excel skills required

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently

  • Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company
