Strategic Planning Manager

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy the Strategic Planning Manager will be responsible for supporting the Marketing team with budgeting, forecasting and creation of strategic analyses to help support the marketing business and its leaders. What you will do:
- Be a strategic business partner within the Marketing organization providing financial leadership, analysis, insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to support the marketing organization in evaluating marketing performance and optimizing resources to drive customer acquisitions and revenue growth.
- Work within the Marketing team to develop key KPIs, ROI analyses, and other insights to provide greater visibility and enhance decision-making.
- Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting processes for the marketing organization and own integrating short and long-term proposals into broader business plans.
- Prepare materials for financial review meetings, highlighting variances to forecasts and using insights to drive forecasting improvements for our operating model and long-range plans.
- Partner with additional key stakeholders to build complex models to support marketing decision making and accelerate revenue generation.
- Perform value added ad-hoc and strategic analyses that help drive decision making.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams to assist in various close procedures including variance fluctuation analysis and accruals.
What you will need:
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics, or an applicable field; MBA or equivalent experience highly preferred
- 5+ years of experience ideally reflecting a combination of FP&A and financial/accounting services experience (investment banking, consulting, or Big 4 accounting)
- Familiarity with marketing accounting and growth KPIs e.g., Lifetime value, churn, customer acquisition costs, average order value etc.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Highly Proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems
- Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong sense of ownership and proactivity
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to present to senior management in a clear, concise manner •
- Tenacity to develop ideas and operate independently with a strong business sense.
- High personal and professional integrity, with a willingness to dig into anything and everything to support the business.
