Aceable is seeking a Tax Accountant to oversee tax preparation and compliance for Aceable. This position will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and our external tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely information is reported to regulatory agencies while also relaying relevant financial data to the FP&A and Accounting team. This position is currently a full-time position (approximately 32 hours per week).

ABOUT THE FINANCE TEAM
The Aceable Finance team is a data-driven, results oriented group responsible for accurate financial reporting, business operations, and data analysis for strategic decision-making. We take great pride in being a key partner to leaders across the organization as decisions about the business are considered. The Finance team consists of the Finance Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury & Tax, and Business Intelligence. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare federal and state income tax return filing supporting schedules and coordinate with third party advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of the Company’s corporate income tax returns.
- Review the federal and state provision calculations and facilitate the tax portion of the financial statement audit with the external audit team.
- Manage the process of identifying, analyzing, and documenting nexus and sales tax positions.
- Prepare and make estimated interim tax payments.
- Participate in tax planning projects to support business expansion, acquisitions, and integration planning.
- Maintain and reconcile tax-related accounts as a part of the accounting close process.
- Research and draft responses to notices from government agencies regarding tax filing
- Assist with preparation of property tax returns and other non-income tax filings.
- Responsible for R&D Credit Studies
- Perform tax research as needed.
- Effectively collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
- Other duties and special tax projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Minimum Bachelors in Accounting with focus in Tax
- 2+ years corporate and/or state and local tax experience at a major public accounting firm
- CPA or CPA Candidate
- Experience with ASC 740
- Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts and processes quickly through excellent writing and speaking skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with research, analysis, and interpretation of federal, state and local income tax laws
- Strong work ethic with a high level of initiative, teamwork, urgency and ownership and integrity
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word
