Team Lead, Account Fraud Investigation

About the position:
Lead the Fraud Investigation team to mitigate risk for our growing 500K+ active consumer loan and credit card portfolio. meet internal and external operational SLAs, set team performance goals and lead team projects to completion, become a subject matter expert across payment fraud, credit disputes, and fraud operational workflows. This role will also collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to drive tool and workflow enhancement, coordinate operational processes with Self’s Customer Success for efficiency, embed additional controls to mitigate risk, coach and mentor your direct reports towards personal and career development, empowering them towards continuous improvement and larger impact to the business, develop and report team performance and metric updates to the executive team.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in fintech, card operations, compliance, or banking operations
- 5+ years in Payment Fraud, Credit Fraud, or AML experience in Credit Card or Consumer Loan banking
- 2+ years people management experience
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong business problem-solving mindset using data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Ability to identify control gaps and embed processes and procedures to mitigate controls
- High EQ and ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders
- Strong ability to adapt and excel in a fast-moving, startup environment
