Amherst has significant ambitions for its business. The Investor Relations team serves these growth goals by delivering a best-in-class experience to our investors and prospective investors across our debt and equity strategies. This team serves as the key point of contact for the investor base, assists in developing new product strategies, conducts market analysis and stays up to date on real estate investing trends, and keeps all external and internal partners informed through accurate and timely reporting and communications. The team seeks a Vice President to join and serve a growing investor base.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key point of contact between Amherst and existing and prospective investors

  • Directly manages all aspects of a fundraise for a variety of vehicles (open/closed-end, joint ventures, SMAs)

  • Conduct proactive analysis of industry and market trends, investor appetite for market segments and strategies and competitor research analysis

  • Lead and oversee pitchbook generation and investor presentations, partnering with marketing, product teams and compliance

  • Responsible for creation and review of fund documents (PPMs, LPAs etc.)

  • Lead and oversee responses to DDQs and RFPs, ensuring responses are tailored, persuasive and high-quality

  • Participate and assist in organizing investor onsite meetings and calls during due-diligence

  • Review responses to investor queries, issues, or concerns, support regular on-going outreach

  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance and other teams to execute fund closings

  • Effectively and efficiently utilize CRM system to track pipeline and existing investor outreach

  • Collaborate with Research and Investment teams to perform portfolio analytics & benchmarking

  • Frame and build materials for various board communications within the firm

  • Evaluate marketing exposure through industry publications, ads and conference participation

  • Assist in leading and training junior team members to ensure organizational success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business or finance preferred), 5+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Prior experience interacting with investors a plus

  • Exceptional research, writing and communication skills

  • Highly analytical and process-oriented, executes efficiently and effectively with highest level of attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Limited Partnership Agreements and Private Placement Memorandums

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, experience with Salesforce a plus

  • Results-oriented, collaborative, thrives in a team-based environment
