We’re looking for frontend engineers that care about the user experience and overall application architecture. We’re building scalable, reusable solutions that solve complex data visualization and analysis challenges for our customers across all digital endpoints - web, mobile, television broadcasts, and in-venue at large tent-pole events. Our voice is critical in making our software best-in-class for the world’s largest brands.

Our Charter:

• Delivery Excellence: Balance quality, timeliness, and end-user ease across all activities and audiences. Become an expert in understanding our software - our Platform, the frameworks we use, our APIs, and our SDK.
• Collaboration: Planning out projects with Project Managers, UX Designers, and other Developers. Being the point of contact on projects, interacting directly with prospects and customers, keeping all stakeholders informed while building solutions to specifications. Additionally, providing opinionated yet intelligent feedback and software design direction.
• Revenue Awareness: We don’t discount the impact our engineers have on our business. Conversely, we encourage them to understand the business model and provide technical insights that help secure and grow recurring Spredfast revenue. Be more than just the technical face of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop amazing data visualizations using our APIs, our SDKs, and Javascript frameworks to render the data. We lean heavily on React/Redux and Backbone, and other graphing/charting libraries.
• Be the lead developer over your projects, managing and meeting deadlines. Responsible for code base, product/project updates. Focus on building scalable, reusable projects.
• Meeting and working with other teams to plan out collaborations. Be a reliable technical resource to all team members. Working collectively, help find tools and processes that make our jobs more efficient.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing first class UI
• Expert level proficiency: HTML, CSS (Sass/LESS), JavaScript, and APIs
• Mid level proficiency: Ruby, Node, PHP (at least one server-side language) and MySQL
• Firm grasp of frameworks: React/Redux, Backbone, and other JavaScript MV* frameworks
• Familiarity with Require, Webpack, Socket.io, Node, and Express.js
• Firm grasp of patterns and tools: AJAX, CORS, git, debugging tools, and UNIX
