What You'll Do:
As the Director of Human Resources, your mission is to lead the development and sustainability of the Human Resources, Facilities, and Internal Events components of our business. The Director of Human Resources will drive the retention and development of our employees in alignment with LM's core values and business objectives, as well as work through strategic expansion of our office spaces and company perks as we scale. The oversight of this role includes four key areas: 1) HR, Facilities, and Internal Events Management, 2) Employee Experience & Development, 3) Total Rewards & Systems, and 4) Facilities Management & Internal Events. The Director of Human Resources oversees process and platforms of our global footprint. With direction from the VP of People Operations, you will provide directional oversight and strategic input on employee success and retention, compensation, employee relations, learning and development, performance evaluation, HR legal policies, and facilities.
Here's a closer look at your duties:
HR, Facilities, and Internal Events Management
- Oversee and manage the HR, Facilities, and Internal Events management team - providing direction, oversight, and strategic influence to ensure high quality day-to-day operations.
- Provide oversight of all international HR, Facilities, and Internal Events team members, creating a consistent application of all people and facilities initiatives globally for LogicMonitor.
- Serve as the first line of questioning for any employee relations, policy, or risk matters from the HR team, escalating to VPPO as necessary.
- Oversee HR, Facilities, and Internal Events budget, ensuring high quality and cost effective practices.
Employee Experience
- Manage and oversee Performance Management Annual, Quarterly, and 90-day review process.
- Lead global HR teams to implement employee retention programs.
- Ensure HR team properly coaches management to handle performance issues timely.
- Serve as advisor to the management and senior leadership team on how to handle difficult conversations, performance issues, and team dynamic concerns.
- Review exit interview documentation, leading process changes or management coaching as a result of feedback.
Learning and Development
- Oversee HR Team's implementation and creation of L&D program.
- Guide and develop HR team to deliver creative, cost effective trainings to better develop our team members.
- Lead global implementation of L&D program to ensure consistency across all offices.
Risk Mitigation & Policy Review
- Serve as HR compliance and policy expert, giving guidance, assistance, and feedback to HR team on global HR policies to ensure all office's processes are compliant with labor laws.
Total Rewards
- Provide oversight and strategic input to HR manager and international team on global compensation structure and strategy, ensuring a dynamic compensation program built on understanding norms in different offices and countries.
- Provide oversight and strategic input to HR manager and international team on global benefits programs, working with global HR team to keep competitive and compliant benefits programs in all offices.
Systems & Data
- Assist HR team as needed on any HRIS issues, ensuring a cost effective and efficient system usage globally.
- Partner with HR Manager to ensure People Analytics are a priority - ensuring we are able to tell our story of effective HR processes through data.
- Work with international offices to create consistencies in reporting to ensure data consistency across all offices.
Immigration
- Partner with HR manager to define and implement immigration policies and support.
- Develop partnership with immigration attorneys and global HR team to understand immigration implications and processes in international offices.
Facilities Management
- Provide oversight and input to the Facilities & Internal Events manager to develop strategic expansion of global offices at LM.
- Work with Director of Talent Acquisition to ensure you are aware of headcount growth and projections to adequately plan and prepare for office build outs.
- Guide and develop cost effective perk program, ensuring that the office environment, snack program, and physical elements of the employee experience are quality, and consistent across all global offices.
Internal Events
- Provide oversight and strategic input to the Facilities & Internal Events manager to develop cost effective and creative internal events, including but not limited to end of quarter happy hours, volunteer events, and holiday parties.
- Create consistency globally on internal events, ensuring all employees have a consistent high quality experience.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus.
- 7+ years people/hr experience with 4+ years managing a team.
- Familiarity with HRIS tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, and related laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with sensitive personnel matters.
- Proven ability to build scalable HR Programs in a complex global and matrix business environment.
- Strong communications skills – ability to flex between authoritative, decisive, sympathetic, precise voices depending on circumstances.
- Analytical skills with ability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses, and drive for continuous improvement.
- Business acumen and people acumen, and ability to influence business leaders.
- Shape company culture with policies, practices and recommendations to accomplish company goals.
- Strong track record in partnering with legal counsel on employment law compliance and managing risk.
