Director Talent Acquisition

We're hiring our first Talent Acquisition Director to take on the ambitious task of scaling up a world-class team.
RigUp is an extremely fast-growing, well-capitalized tech startup in Austin. In the last year, we increased our headcount 3X and currently have over 160 employees and continue to grow at a similar clip this year. Our Talent objective is to attract, align, and grow top talent through a world-class talent experience and we are looking for a Recruiting leader to build a team, processes, and framework that will allow us to scale our team while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
The ideal candidate has an impeccable eye for talent and has a bias for finding solutions to business problems. As a leader of the Recruiting team, you have a track record to be a talent magnet and can attract top-tier recruiters to join your team. You will partner with every key function at RigUp and be responsible for working alongside other leaders to define RigUp’s recruiting strategy using a data-based approach.
What We Need...
- Build and grow a high-performing talent acquisition organization
- Partner with the Head of Talent and other departmental leaders and build and deliver a recruiting strategy
- Partner with Marketing to develop and execute on employment brand roadmap to make RigUp the place to work in Austin
- Create a recruiting machine that can deliver diverse, top-tier talent at the volumes required by the business across both technical and business orgs
- Partner with Talent Development to create enablement materials to help train interviewers and hiring teams
- Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape for talent and creating initiatives to move us “up and to the right”
- Partner with business partners in Talent and other orgs to execute on our Diversity and Inclusion priorities
- Leverage technology throughout our hiring process to continually improve the productivity of the recruiting and hiring teams
About You...
- 10+ years work experience in recruiting of which at least 4+ years of experience as a people manager (and ideally, managing managers or leads)
- You thrive in an ever-changing environment and have an extremely high bias for action
- Expert ability to both zoom out (shape strategies and think about our recruiting priorities several years out) and zoom in (coach team and execute on the recruiting roadmap)
- You are a coach who gets personal fulfillment by succeeding through others
- You are always questioning the status quo and look for opportunities to break convention when you think better results can be achieved
- When you try to understand a problem, you ask for the data. You are fluent with recruiting analytics and how to improve systems and processes
- You are a hunter at heart and don’t settle for average results
