Position Summary:
The HR Generalist will provide HR support for a GoDaddy office. This position will report to the VP of People and will partner with him/her to ensure the successful implementation and uniform administration of company-wide initiatives and practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest in HR as a profession; have general knowledge of the function of human resources, a strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the new hire onboarding and orientation experience
- Counsel employees and managers with HR related questions
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to managers with basic to moderate employee relations issues and escalate more complex issues to the VP of People
- Evaluate, plan and implement positive employee relations programs and activities
- Provide ongoing education, development and training as needed, which includes presenting to groups of employees
- Facilitate requirements for performance-based standards and measurements of success between management team and employees
- Ensure policies, practices and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with all applicable local, state and/or federal laws
- Liaise with the recruiting team as necessary
- Generate reports from the HR database as needed
- Conduct exit interviews and process employee paperwork for exiting employees
- Work in conjunction with the Director or Manager of People on overseeing the performance management and goal setting process
- Manage employee paperwork and files for the office, including receiving and responding to governmental documents
- Compensation and benefits administration
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a small entrepreneurial culture and a larger, established company is desired
- Ability to stand firm and remain committed when necessary and facilitate understanding when difficult or adverse decisions must be addressed or made
- Exceptional ability to partner across cross-functional teams and multiple work groups to accomplish assigned tasks and duties
- Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results driven, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly effective interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Good work ethic with initiative and motivation
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
- 3-5 years of progressive HR related experience in a generalist capacity
- A bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education is required
- PHR is a plus
- Experience in a professional services firm or advertising agency is a plus
