We’re growing faster than our internal HR capacity! To help us build our teams quickly, we are seeking a highly motivated, network-building, rockstar-finding Contract Recruiter. 

Our work (helping schools making online learning safe and effective) has never been more in demand or more important. At Lightspeed, we build innovative SAAS solutions that lead the market and make a real difference. In this 6-month contract role, you’ll help us find people who thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused, mission-driven environment. 

 From posting positions to negotiating the offers, you’ll own the entire recruitment process from start to finish, working closely with our internal team to ensure skill and culture fit. As a Contract Recruiter on our team, you’ll be expected to pre-screen applications, recommend top talent, and facilitate the onboarding process. We need someone with a strong sense of the people they choose, looking past a resume to the person beyond the paper. You should also have strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate the hiring of multiple roles. 

Ultimately, you’ll employ your skills and success as a recruiter to help us bring the right people on board the Lightspeed Systems team. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • Meet with managers and HR to discuss their hiring needs and formulate strategy 
  • Gather resumes from online staffing tools, employee referrals, and networking efforts 
  • Build a large contact list from which to source new talent 
  • Manage interview schedules for all candidates 
  • Pre-screen applications and conduct further telephone screening if needed 
  • Document all hiring efforts using appropriate company software 
  • Provide regular reports to the hiring manager and identify hiring trends 
  • Source qualified candidates via job sites, databases, networking etc. 
  • Help establish connections with professional organizations and universities from which applicants may be recruited 
  • Select and present qualified candidates to hiring teams 
  • Help hiring teams interview candidates  
  • Advise hiring managers to help them make better hiring decisions 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Proven success as a recruiter 
  • Strong technical acumen 
  • Self-motivated and proactive 
  • Familiarity with HR best practices and formal regulations 
  • Experience securing talent from a variety of online and in-person sources 
  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle 
  • Industry hiring experience is a plus 
  • Familiarity with recruiting software (Greenhouse preferred)  
  • Knowledge of effective hiring practices (e.g. social media recruiting) 
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills 
  • Strong decision-making skills 
  • Strong computer proficiency 
  • Outstanding organization ability
