Shopgate is looking for a high caliber HR professional to lead the US HR function for our innovative mobile retail software company. This role will report directly to the CEO of Shopgate out the Austin, TX office to lead and execute all of the HR related work in the US. The position will partner closely with the HR team in Germany to design and roll out global HR projects. The key objectives for the first 6 months will emphasize a focus on strengthening the company culture, ensuring HR compliance and executing full cycle recruiting.
Your Mission
This role will build an exceptional employee experience and culture program(s), ensure the company is compliant with all HR legal matters, design and implement a comprehensive compensation and benefits program for a small to medium sized tech company. Understand the workforce resource needs and recruit for key positions in the US.

- Flexible disposition with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Great organizational skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to complete tasks quickly
- An entrepreneurial mindset and know how to independently build the value of HR in a smaller organization
- Willingness to be onsite in the Austin office (West UT campus location) to support our People and Leaders
- An open and approachable style and willingness to partner closely with our German office mates to help create one global company
