Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibilities associated with entering, running, and auditing payroll.
  • Assisting with the new hire process including generating offer letters, creating new employee files, entering new employees into all related systems and conducting the new hire orientations.
  • Prepares new employee files and files papers and documents into appropriate files as well as maintains the filing of employee and payroll related documents.
  • Verifying and collecting all new hire documentation including I-9s, W-4s, and benefits information.
  • Assisting with new employee background checks.
  • Help with maintaining and tracking requests for employee’s time off
  • Providing customer service to employees with payroll and general benefits and compliance
  • Creating termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
  • Auditing and assisting in compliance-based projects, including updating the IIPP or other company documents, ordering compliance posters, etc.
  • Regularly consulting with department heads for employee database management.
  • Entering, auditing and maintaining employee data change – domestically and internationally, ensuring the accuracy of the database as well as compliance with SOX controls regarding the approval process.
  • Performing as the primary contact/liaison for all unemployment matters.
  • Working knowledge of the immigration process and training other EBC team members to ensure the day-to-day immigration activities are completed in accordance with regulatory compliance.
  • Working with the department manager to ensure the department’s legal compliance with all applicable employment related federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Performing clerical functions and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Specialized Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Generalist/Business Partner in a related industry
  • Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the Human Resources Field
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal labor and employment laws in several regions of the country.
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as great organizational skills
  • Thorough and accurate, responsible and reliable as well as pro-active
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient with ADP Workforce Now, MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with immigration issues
