About the Role

As Sips by’s Human Resources Manager, you will partner with leaders in all areas of the company on their People/HR/Benefits needs. You will also successfully partner cross-functionally with other operational teams on projects to create the best resources and outcomes for the company. You are truly a sounding board for team, managers, and leadership. Payroll will also live on your team, so any experience in this area will be helpful.



About You

The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, a good listener, empathetic, data-driven and obsessed with delivering great people experiences. You have positive energy and a deep understanding of HR policies and compliance.

 

 

 

Here is a bit more about what you’ll do:

 

  • Work with Senior Recruiter and hiring managers on job descriptions, recruiting and comp definition for W2 associates.


  • Work with Operations Manager and outside staffing agencies to ensure we have needed 1099 headcount on our Fulfillment team.



  • Create the employee Onboarding process and supporting documents/ tools, working with leadership to configure/ fine-tune.


  • Create an employee handbook.



  • Schedule all TEAm development and training.


  • Train managers on associate review and development plan processes; work with / across managers and team to identify and implement useful training and development tools for team. Ensure consistent review and development plan practices across business are utilized.



  • Establish process and procedure for current HR tools: Rippling, Greenhouse/ Administer payroll and benefits.


  • Establish/ensure fair and consistent compensation practices and development for TEAm promotion/ elevation opportunities.



  • Plan and facilitate team and small group activities- be a steward of fostering our values and ensuring each person on a team participates in building/shaping our culture for the better.


  • Foster inclusivity and diversity. Ensure company accountability with regulatory items.



  • Special projects for the CEO including, but not limited to, meeting planning and scheduling.


  • Cross-functional projects including providing hands-on support to team if/as needed (eg. customer support during peak season).




Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working for a startup company highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and compliance.
  • Solid experience working within HRIS systems (ours is Rippling) and keen attention to data integrity. 
  • Experience pulling together data from across HR platforms and creating reports to form actionable insights. 
  • Knowledge of employee benefits.
  • Drive and desire to work in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Payroll experience his highly preferred.
