We are seeking a fun, fearless and focused communications professional who thrives in fast-paced environments (and who loves alliteration!). 

In this position, you’ll spend your days writing and creating - with a little problem-solving sprinkled in. You’ll contribute to, and in some cases manage, our internal communication channels, which include our bi-weekly All-Hands meeting, internal digital signage platform, intranet portal, e-newsletters, Slack channels, and more! At HomeAway, we’re big on using data to inform our decisions, so you’ll also be expected to track and analyze the impact of your work to drive better performance.

You’ll be a part of a small, but mighty global team, reporting to the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, and while your focus will primarily be U.S. employee communications, you'll likely be asked to contribute to a global campaign or two! 

Our team is growing, so this is an ideal opportunity to jump in from the start and to play an integral role in shaping how our function adds value to our dynamic (read: ever-changing) global organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsibilities:
    • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of employee-facing channels
    • Partner with senior leadership to develop the editorial calendar and corresponding content for global all-hands meetings
    • Design graphics for and lead the content implementation of our internal digital signage platform
    • Collaborate with the global facilities team to ensure internal flyers are posted throughout HomeAway office spaces 
    • Update the corporate intranet (“wiki”) to promote key campaigns, announcements, and programs
    • Gather story ideas and develop assets for internal blog posts and e-newsletters 
    • Analyze communications efforts to determine their effectiveness against our OKRs
  • Abilities:
    • Communicate with utmost precision both verbal and written
    • Remain calm, cool and collected in the face of rapid change
    • Anticipate and fulfill the needs of those around you quickly and efficiently
    • Meticulous multi-tasking
    • Data extraction and analysis that helps improve our communication and engagement efforts
    • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders within HomeAway and our parent company Expedia Group

Who you are:

  • Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of communications/PR/content experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, English or related field.
    • Proactive “Can-do”-er
    • Independent thinker who likes contributing to a team
    • Graphic design skills? Yes!
    • Video editing skills? Even better!
