What Your Days Will Be Like: 

We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager with a background in working in fast-paced environments, employee relations, HR operations, and continuous improvement, to join our team. 

What You'll Be Working On: 

  • Manage and oversee team members within the HR department
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the business – departments, jobs, structure, processes
  • Proactively assess needs for HR services and develop strategies to meet those needs
  • Address all employee relations issues and other immediate issues to minimize risk
  • Promote positive team member relations and communication by counseling team members and facilitating conflict resolution between team members
  • Annually review and make recommendations for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters
  • Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the executive management team, on personnel matters
  • Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization
  • Support the maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (Workday)

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

  • Comprehensive and advanced level of knowledge of HR best practices, HR laws, company policies and procedures, benefits, and HR operations
  • Great management capabilities and the ability to proactively drive operational improvements through changes in processes, procedures, and organizational design
  • The ability to execute on complex HR activities, as described above

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 7+ years of progressively more responsible positions in HR
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • The knowledge and ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert ("go-to resource") for all team members regarding HR-related issues
  • Strong analytic capabilities (i.e. the ability to gather and analyze data and propose solutions)
  • Strong operational background and understanding of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and operational efficiencies/improvements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, techniques, and procedures, as well as strategies to assess and resolve HR issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles is required, as is knowledge of applicable labor, pay, benefits, and health and safety laws
  • The ability to handle and maintain a high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding sensitive employee information is essential
  • Applicable HR-related statutes and regulations, such as the ADA, ADEA, COBRA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
