WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

We are seeking a Learning and Development Manager to help fuel Qualia’s next phase of rapid growth. You will join Qualia’s growing People Operations and L&D teams to play a fundamental role in supporting the company’s success. Specific duties will include: collaborating with senior leadership across all departments to assess and deliver company L&D needs; managing the development and delivery of L&D offerings; and serving as an advocate and mentor for career development of L&D team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee Qualia’s Learning and Development programs - including new-hire and on-going industry and product training, professional development training, and other development activities - ensuring that L&D offerings help build a strong culture of personal and professional growth: We build leaders and grow careers
  • Partner with departmental leadership and L&D team members to evaluate and assess training needs, and consistently deliver fresh and up-to-date training content
  • Collaborate with People Operations leadership to develop, foster, and maintain a strong culture of learning and professional development across the organization
  • Oversee curriculum development, collaborating with L&D Specialists to incorporate incoming feedback, creative methodologies, and best practices for inclusive adult learning
  • Serve as a trainer in curriculum delivery
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of training programs with external vendors and consultants 
  • Manage the administration of learning management systems (Lessonly, Inspired e-Learning, etc.)
  • Manage, mentor, and advocate for the L&D teams continued professional growth

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • 5+ years developing and delivering training and development programs for adults in a technical business setting
  • A strong understanding of learning needs in a fast-growing technology company
  • Successful experience collaborating with senior leadership to assess, evaluate and deliver training programs
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to translate technical processes and terms into easily digestible content for nontechnical audiences 
  • Demonstrated track record of success as a people manager, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members to meet their full potential
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to serve equally as a department leader, peer collaborator, and individual contributor as needed
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective pedagogical approaches for adult learning
  • Experience as administrator or RFP project manager for multiple LMS systems is a plus
