As a HR Specialist, you will be a member of the Babylon People Team, executing people and payroll processes that support our People Operations function in the Americas. In this role, your excellent customer service presence and organizational skills will be crucial to elevate our overall employee experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in different global, cross-functional projects to support our rapid growth. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Provide front line support to all employees and stakeholders throughout the employee lifecycle; supporting onboarding & offboarding, background checks, I-9 verifications, employment verifications, employee mobility.
- Be the face of the People team leading the new hire Day 1 orientation
- Maintain confidential employee electronic personnel files ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support HRIS data integrity and audit
- Work across HR and other COEs (legal, finance, compliance, etc.), along with third-party vendors, to deliver excellent service and support to all Babylonians
- Document workflow and procedures, and proactively finding opportunities for process improvement
- Participate in various projects and initiatives to support new programs and services to all Babylonians
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience working in HR function with HRIS, benefits, onboarding and payroll
- Understanding of different HR functions and their interdepencies
- Experience with payroll processing and maintaining compliance with local and federal laws in multiple states
- Leverage your critical thinking and fantastic organizational skills, to prioritize and manage competing priorities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Demonstrated ability to act with discretion, and have exceptional integrity and judgment in handling confidential information
- Able to build trust and rapport quickly
- Gets ahead of a problem and proactively seeks solutions and improvements
- Desire to learn and grow within the HR function, passionate about understanding all the areas of HR
- Experience using spreadsheets (vlookups, formulas) and preparing presentation slides
