Your Mission:
This is an exciting opportunity to own the overall employee relations, HR record keeping, benefit administration, and point of contact for daily inquiry responsibility for our Tampa and Austin Wisers on the Customer Support teams. Our mission is to assist our Leads and teams to deliver a seamless employee operations experience throughout the entire ‘Wiser’ journey for our growing Wise population in the Americas. 🌎
You will also provide input regarding team goals, KPIs, efficiencies, process improvements and future optimization of our People Advisors team, as well as participate by providing deliverables of global projects.
This role reports directly to the Regional People Operations Lead for the Americas, who is based in Tampa, Florida.
- Be the initial point of contact for People Operations employee queries and provide timely responses to your fellow Wisers
- Point of contact for Customer Support Leads who need guidance on employee relations matters from start to finish (e.g. conflict management, investigation, disciplinary)
- Ensure our HR system and all employee records are up to date and correct; tracking attendance and working hours, and benefit enrollments through our systems
- Administration of all benefits programs, to include co-leading annual open enrollment, vendor management, process change of life admin, and communicating new and revised benefits plans
- Suggest, prepare, and analyze reports on US employee data (headcount, turnover, overtime analysis, etc.)
- Provide advice to leaders from other offices, guiding them through US-specific processes, employment law requirements, systems, and benefit policies
- Process approvals for US-based “mobile Wisers” working remotely outside of their home location
- Provide additional support to the wider People team and other leaders with ad-hoc tasks/data queries and project-based work
- Contribute towards the bi-annual planning cycles by attending review sessions, collating data on team performance, sharing ideas for improvements and new projects, etc
- You’ll partner with your Lead to recommend new approaches, policy and procedure changes towards continuous improvement within the team
A bit about you:
- Prior HR operational experience with an emphasis in employee relations and benefits administration is required
- Radiant people skills - with huge amounts of personal energy, with the ability to build and maintain great relationships, and happy to be the first point-of-contact for our Wisers
- Extensive knowledge of US employment law and employee relation procedures
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Other languages are a plus, especially Portuguese or Spanish!
- Strong HRIS knowledge and technical aptitude, such as familiarity with G-suite, and experience with Workday, Paycom, Excel and/or CloudPay would be a plus
- Additional education such as a Bachelor Degree is strongly encouraged but not required
- An up-to-date professional HR Certification to demonstrate your expertise and commitment within the field of Human Resources, such as: SHRM-SC or PHR (or similar) certification would be nice to have, but is not required
- Experience working in a call center or similarly face paced and high volume environment is preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Must already be legally authorized to work in the US, we cannot provide Visa sponsorship for this role
- This is NOT a remote role, this is a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas
Stuff that’ll come naturally to you:
- Honesty and reliability - able to own up to mistakes and learn from them (we all make them, after all) and reliable - someone who never breaks promises
- Detail focused - you’ll have an eye for the details and be solution-oriented, using these two skills to drive your decisions
- Adaptable - you will be as comfortable working with ambiguity as you are with certainly - we need someone who can be agile enough to respond to changing priorities, but be able to hold clear on the long term path ahead
- Curiosity to learn & grow - we don’t expect an expert in every HR topic at this level, but we do expect you to have some HR expertise, a positive can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and grow the knowledge and experience you already do have
- Ability to multi-task - you must be able to handle multiple tasks - often at the same time. You’ll also have the ability to start, stop, pick-up, and complete tasks on a recurring basis
Key benefits:
- 💵 Competitive annual salary
- 🚀 RSU's in a rapidly growing company
- 💻 Hybrid working – up to 3 days/week working from home, the other 2 days in the office
- ✈️ Wisers can work remotely for 90 days a year. By ‘remote’ we don’t just mean from home, but from wherever in the world you choose to
- 💪 An annual self-development budget
- 🩺 Medical, dental, & vision insurance – including HSA and FSA options
- 💝 Company-paid: Life Insurance, Short & Long-Term Disability, and an EAP program
