Responsibilities

- End to end client group ownership and responsibility, including C-level executives and leadership team members 

- Anticipate people-related needs and proactively address pain points and opportunities with the leaders and functions you support

- Partner strategically with leaders on all things People-related and operationalize the work including organization design, change management, talent planning and management, career development, culture & engagement, and more 

- Collaborate with Talent & Recruiting Team on headcount planning and staffing needs

- Work in collaboration with the broader People Team and organization to ideate and execute programs and initiatives that will scale with Wheel’s accelerated growth plan

- Coach people leaders to be their best through transparency, understanding, and feedback 

- Provide expertise in employee relations and performance management

- Champion Wheel’s Core Values and the culture they foster 


Qualifications

- 5+ years experience as a strategic, consultative HR Business Partner at a high growth start-up

- Strong relationship builder and communicator, at all levels of the organization from executive team members through individual contributors 

- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior leaders, when needed 

- Extensive experience managing employee relations process and the relevant local, state, and federal employment laws

- Experience with owning large and small scale People initiatives from conception through execution and maintenance 

- Ability to work in and respond to a fast-paced, dynamic, and high growth environment 

- Strong project management abilities, working with large cross-functional teams

- Energized by keeping a pulse on the changing HR community and sharing those learnings, best practices, and new tech with the broader team

- Previous exposure to design thinking as a problem-solving tool preferred
