Our People Resources Specialist will serve in a critical role on our growing team by helping to discover and develop AffiniPay’s greatest asset: Our people! The PR Specialist will support our People Resources Manager in a variety of initiatives and programs including onboarding and new hire orientation, employee relations, diversity and inclusion and various internal programs related to health, wellness, and philanthropic activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of onboarding for newly hired staff, including preparation for their first day, organization of welcome kits, and the development of new hire packets.
- Conducts new hire onboarding presentations.
- Organizes 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins and tracks feedback on our onboarding process.
- Coordinates new hire ‘meet and greets’ with key members of leadership and executives.
- Researches market compensation rates for new and existing roles as well as ensures we maintain a competitive benefits package.
- Responsible for work eligibility documentation during the onboarding process.
- Assists in the development of a mentorship program.
- Maintains the staff handbook and assists with the research, creation, and documentation of new policies and procedures.
- Manages our company-wide PTO tracking system.
- Responsible for employee relations, and escalation if needed, at all levels of the organization.
- Coordinates and manages the annual review and goal processes.
- Partners with the People Resources Coordinator to support internal programs such as our wellness, charitable, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Documents and manages all job descriptions and associated pay bands.
- Works with the People Resources Manager and Director to create benchmarking and monitors annual PR goals and metrics.
- Collaborates with various members of the PR team to develop a company-wide diversity and inclusion initiative.
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition Team and People Resources Coordinator to create a formalized internship program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum of three years experience in a human resources role, with at least two years of experience in employee relations.
- Ability to demonstrate superb customer service to internal and external customers.
- Positive, get-it-done attitude.
- Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong working knowledge of human resource practices, including policies and procedures, compliance, benefits, compensation, and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems and platforms such as Paycor and BambooHR.
- Ability to understand and apply human resource practices ethically and consistently.
- Proven organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadline oriented projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
