Our People Resources Specialist will serve in a critical role on our growing team by helping to discover and develop AffiniPay’s greatest asset: Our people! The PR Specialist will support our Senior People Resources and Talent Acquisition Managers in a variety of PR programs including but not limited to new hire orientation, onboarding, employee development, employee relations, and various internal initiatives related to health, wellness, and philanthropic activities.
  • Managing all onboarding for new staff including:
  • Preparing for new staff member’s first day
  • Preparing new hire packets, benefits information, and welcome kits
  • Conducting first day onboarding presentation
  • Coordinating new hire ‘meet and greet’ meetings by updating calendars appropriately
  • Researching market data and compensation rates for various roles within the organization.
  • Researching competitive staff benefit programs.
  • Responsible for work eligibility documentation, including I-9 compliance.
  • Developing a Staff Mentoring Program.
  • Conducting new hire check-ins to gather feedback regarding their onboarding experience.
  • Managing company-wide PTO tracking system through BambooHR.
  • Assisting Senior People Resources Manager with employee relations.
  • Partnering with Senior People Resources Manager to develop career pathing plan within all departments.
  • Assisting with AffiniPay’s health initiative, AffiniHealth, by creating an annual calendar as well as working on event coordination.
  • Coordinating and gathering information regarding annual staff goals.
  • Collaborating with the PR Coordinator on the AffiniCares initiative by brainstorming new ideas to help expand the program as well as measuring it’s success by tracking data such as matching donations, volunteer hours, and tracking annual charitable events. 
  • Coordinating and managing our staff performance review process.
  • Working with various members of the PR team to develop a company-wide diversity and inclusion initiative that will be measured on a quarterly basis.
  • Documenting and managing all job descriptions and appropriate pay bands for each position within the company.
  • Assisting the Senior People Resources Manager with any handbook updates and/or company policy additions and revisions.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a human resources role.
  • Ability to demonstrate superb customer service to internal customers, our staff.
  • Positive, get-it-done attitude.
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong working knowledge of human resource related policies, compliance, benefits, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and platforms such as Paycor and BambooHR.
  • Ability to understand and apply human resources practices consistently.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

I write the documentation for developers who integrate with our Payment Gateway, and I work with a cross-functional team that includes Business Development, Product, and DevSupport. We guide partners and their developers as they create and maintain their integrations, and we work together internally to make the process quicker and easier.

What makes someone successful on your team?

As part of the Product Management Team, we sit on the intersection of Technology, UX, the Business and the Customer. All of us spend a significant of time with our customers and the market. However, given that we are market leaders, we get to lead and influence our entire industry which requires bold yet analytical product decision making.

Dev teams are encouraged to come up with creative ideas both to technically solve existing problems as well as identify business problems which the company may or may not currently comprehend.
