The People Services team is the HR team at MongoDB which is the face of HR to the employees. This team partners with global stakeholders & COEs in order to help make MongoDB an outstanding place to work. As our People Services Coordinator, you will be an instrumental part of the People Services team supporting our North American employees in the US, Canada and Mexico. Through this work, you will push our region towards its goal of maintaining a high-touch, high-availability partnership that drives employee engagement and gives leaders the support they need as they scale their businesses. This is an extraordinary opportunity to get exposure to a wide-variety of activities within an HR function at a high-profile tech company.

Work Location: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania with ability to occasionally travel into NYC office

Responsibilities

Your activities will vary based on business needs, and will include:

  • Conduct discussions with employees about leave of absences, coordinate insurance paperwork with providers and become a specialist on benefits related questions asked by our employees
  • Run background checks and verification of employments
  • Run reports to help the team make informed decisions
  • Assist with onboarding, compensation changes and other employee changes
  • Conduct exit interviews, offboarding employees, and provide analyses of exit themes over time
  • Answer first-level queries from employees on HR policies and procedures
  • Craft employee-facing communications about People programs
  • Build presentation decks about People programs and efforts
  • Conduct research on a broad variety of people-management standard methodologies
  • Build trusted relationships with employees and collecting feedback about People initiatives
  • Support People Partners in all other activities as needed

Requirements

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and an empathetic, customer-service attitude
  • Top-notch written communication
  • High level of comfort with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to multitask, embrace change, and (re)prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Google Applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) or MS Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 2-3 years of experience working in an HR profile
  • Bachelor’s degree (bonus having a PHR/SPHR)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee issues and information
  • Must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, and take ownership of their work
  • Must have a low-ego, team-oriented, no-job-is-too-small attitude
  • Interest in growing a career in HR, management advising, or other related fields
