The Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and execution of Global hiring for key tech and non-tech teams at Medallia. Leads the development of a proactive, predictive always on strategic hiring function. Leads a team of high-performance leaders and recruiters and partners with cross functional departments to drive high quality, rigorous recruitment outcomes throughout the globe.

The role:

Develops and implements the overall strategic direction for scaled hiring processes and procedures for key technical and non technical teams.

Leads from a place of inclusion & belonging – weaving diversity into all of our business talent pipelines to ensure our company philosophy is reflected in our hiring outcomes.

Deep understanding of our company, the market we operate in and our employment value proposition/competitive advantage and leverages these messages in selling and communications with our candidates.

Implements strategic approaches to candidate sourcing, nurturing, engagement and interviewing & selection best practices.

Drives enablement for recruiters, interviewers and hiring managers, in the areas of sourcing, talent assessment, recruitment tools, and inclusive hiring strategies.

Collaborates with peers and VP, TA to assess and improve the effectiveness of our global talent acquisition operations and programs working to ensure compliance, systems and tools are aligned and optimized.

Partners with Finance and Operations to effectively plan and monitor headcount, attrition and hiring goals; effectively turning finance plans into actionable hiring plans.

Determines team capacity and makes recommendations on how best to close gaps including forecasted hires, new additions, backfills and pull forward methodologies.

Monitors and recommends improvements to recruiting processes on an on-going basis to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and established or new policies.

Develops our employment brand messaging and partners with Marketing to ensure consistency with external messaging and branding.

Networks with industry professionals, associations and other internal staff to consistently explore new or emerging recruiting trends and best practices to foster continuous improvement and innovation.

Leads proactive, innovative recruiting and outreach efforts for all levels of hiring from entry level through executive 

Leads ongoing review and selection of third-party agency sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions. Secures funding and ensures an enterprise wide understanding of when and how to engage with agencies.

Develops recruitment reporting, metrics, and scorecards to calibrate success and progress of the Talent Acquisition function. Develops and implements solutions to improve areas of opportunity identified through ongoing reporting and analytics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field

10+ years of progressive recruiting leadership experience

3-5 years of experience leading globally matrixed team members

Experience in high volume and niche recruiting strategies across multiple geographies

Experienced leading and operating within a highly matrixed organization

Strong project management and vendor management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree in a related field

Experience leading recruiting in a high growth SaaS based business
