Responsibilities

• Leads and ensures compliance with various programs such as I-9, E-Verify, unemployment, employee document management, required government reporting, etc.
• Acts as a subject matter expert by providing guidance on I-9 policies, procedures and regulations.
• Develops recommendations for changes and improvements to HR compliance processes and programs and manages projects to carry out those changes/improvements.
• Proactively scans the environment for trends and emerging legislation to identify issues, recommend process implementation/updates.
• Draft and modify standard operating procedures and/or other process documentation that comply with company policy and government regulations.
• Develops and performs compliance related trainings to stakeholders.
• Facilitates identification and resolution of vendor/provider issues.
• Develops metrics to assess program effectiveness.

Knowledge & Skills

• In depth understanding of HR compliance practices and systems (experience with Guardian preferred)
• Knowledge of employment law/regulations (FCRA, FLSA, EEOC, I-9, E-Verify)
• Ability to create and distribute formal communications with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners.

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience

• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
