Duo’s mission is to make security simple for everyone. We were born from a hacker ethos and a desire to make the Internet a secure place.

Our roots and values were crafted in the Midwest. We believe in enabling and empowering people to follow their passions inside and outside of the office. Collaboration is our standard operating practice, and we actively seek to reduce barriers to brilliance.

Our team is our secret weapon. We run the spectrum from artists to analysts, calm to high energy, and bring together a diversity of skill sets, experiences, and perspectives to solve what we consider to be the world's most pressing geopolitical challenge — transforming the security industry as we know it.

Together we build solutions that are easy, effective, trustworthy, and enduring. And that’s why we are the most loved and trusted company in security.

As a Senior Manager, People & Organizational Development, you'll own the strategy, program design, and hands-on execution for Duo’s people development and organizational development initiatives. Reporting to our global Director of People Business Partners, you'll work in partnership across the People team and with our business partners to develop, refresh, and launch programs, processes, and tools to enable strong business results through the development of our employees and teams. This role offers a rare opportunity to play in uncharted territory by building the vision of “what could be”, but also rolling-up your sleeves to deliver hands-on execution. It is a blend of big thinking, program design, partner management, and end-to-end execution.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Launching and maintaining a performance framework that is effective, yet simplistic, enabling timely employee feedback and supporting our pay for performance philosophy. You'll be responsible for the design, development and launch of the framework, along with any tools and resources needed.
  • Lead Duo's employee engagement survey process to include defining purpose and approach, owning tool selection and vendor relationship management. Develop the framework for survey results communication and actions.
  • Enthusiastically urge forward all efforts of an employee recognition strategy that is global, scalable and cost-effective.
  • Develop and expand the company’s competency model along with relevant tools and resources, to drive consistent and scalable people development. This may include crafting and embedding standard competency language into the employee life cycle.
  • Source of expertise on change management for Duo Security.
  • Passionately identify, develop and administer programs centered around employee retention.
  • Consult, diagnose, analyze and deliver interventions aimed at building organizational capability.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in talent management and organizational design and development to be considered by leadership.
  • Design and implement a talent planning and succession model, including processes, training, and tools.
  • Work collaboratively with the People Business Partners, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and our key business partners.
  • Maintain strategic partnering relationships with vendors.

Skills & Experience you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of varied and increasing responsibility related to organizational development, organizational effectiveness, and/or talent management
  • Self-starter with proven project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of managing a team of internal business partners
  • Build relationships with global employees on all levels; build business acumen with an understanding of how the business and talent strategy aligns
  • Expertise on performance management modeling that enables organizational success
  • Expertise on employee engagement and recognition strategies that enable improved retention
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (i.e. Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, etc.); advanced degrees preferred

Duo is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness. We are able to grow and learn better together with a diverse team of employees. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and talent that our employees invest in their work represents not only part of our culture, but our reputation and Duo’s achievement as well. In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that all potential candidates can bring in terms of their education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, gender identity and expression, nationality, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.

And if this role is exciting you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all 100% of the description or qualifications. Finally and most importantly, we are a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
