Talent Acquisition Specialist

BigCommerce, named a 2021 "Best Place to Work" in Austin, is looking for a versatile Talent Acquisition Specialist who is enthusiastic about the world of recruiting, tech-savvy and an excellent communicator. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist your responsibilities include posting jobs, doing initial screenings and promoting a positive candidate experience. You’ll support other recruiters, hiring teams and candidates so the hiring process can run smoothly. Ultimately, you’ll help our company find and hire the most qualified people for our open roles.
What you'll do:
- Identify and recruit top notch talent across multiple areas of our business, primarily focused on the end-to-end hiring process for contractors, internal applicants for in line roles and intern hires
- Effectively manage contracting staffing agencies to support payrolling and sourcing of contractors
- Review, screen candidates and manage overall interview, selection and closing process
- Ensure all screening, hiring and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
- Support your Recruiting teammates during high volume and peak periods in the end-to-end hiring process for (sourcing, screening, closing) for multiple roles and teams
- Meet all hiring goals by filling open positions in a timely manner; recruiting SLAs and KPIs are met
- Maintain data quality and integrity in Greenhouse (applicant tracking system)
- Complete timely hiring reports on updates and pipeline activities for open positions
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the process, establish weekly meetings and set expectations to deliver a seamless recruiting experience
- Drive improvements with internal and contractor recruiting process, quality and efficiency
- Exercise discretion and judgment in all recruiting matters, policies and compliance
- Always be mindful in prospecting for DEI applicants to increase DEI top of funnel
- Partner and build relationships with your client groups to understand priorities, team goals, company culture, position profile, and other key success factors
- Promote a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Collaborate with your Talent Acquisition teammates as well as your partners on our People team (HRBPs, Compensation and People Services)
Who you are:
- 2+ years of related experience working in a recruiting function, ideally for the technology industry either in house or within an agency; ; software, internet, or social media company preferred
- Previous experience using a Candidate Management and/or Applicant Tracking software tool (we use Greenhouse and Beamery)
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office products, Excel-wizardry a plus
- Knowledge of company policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Experience networking and building relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure goals are achieved
- Strong analytical, quantitative, logic and reasoning skills
- Self-motivated, open minded, and flexible to deal with occasional ambiguity
- Ability to practice absolute discretion and to maintain as confidential all company, departmental and other proprietary and sensitive information
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a smile and a sense of humor
- Strong interviewing skills, both in person and over the phone -- the ability to identify the very best talent from average talent

- Detail oriented. Organized and able to balance multiple priorities throughout the day
