Overview

The Human Resources department is a client services organization that works to serve 2 primary clients: the employees and the business. As such, we aim to be 3rd party neutrals who evaluate each client’s needs individually as well as in conjunction to each other to provide fair and equitable proactive consultative advice and solutions in an attempt to benefit both. The HR team services the combined companies across the functions of employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker’s compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management.



The Talent Advisor is a full-cycle recruiter to help build a recruitment practice and facilitate the company’s continued success and growth through people. This role will assist in the creation and continual evolution of a best-in-class recruitment function. In doing so, he/she will have a material impact on managements’ understanding of recruitment, ability to forecast needs, and staffing focus with the future in mind. This will alleviate the recruitment burden for managers by reducing procedural redundancies and roadblocks while increasing quality of hire and assisting the company to reach its strategic objectives. Specific areas of focus will be on engineering and product talent.


Primary Objectives:


  1. Partnership with Management as a Talent Advisor
  2. Partnership with Other Human Resource Team Members on Employee Life Cycle
  3. Full Cycle Recruitment of Technical and Non-Technical Positions
  4. Job Evaluations and Leveling
  5. Staffing: Temporary Employees
  6. Event Planning (Job Fairs, etc.)
  7. University Relations

Essential Position Duties:


  • Partnership with Management as a Talent Advisor to positively impact hiring decisions 
    • Company-Wide Talent Strategy Knowledge
    • Hiring Manager Persuasion
    • Labor Market Expertise (Market Benchmarking)
    • Lead Generation (Active Networking)
    • Company-Specific Business Acumen
  • Partnership with Other Human Resource Team Members on Employee Life Cycle
    • Ensure GREAT candidate experience as a preface to the employee experience
    • Partner on events/initiatives that would enhance engagement, retention, and branding
    • Be informed on regional issues with potential impacts on talent needs
  • Job Evaluations and Leveling 
    • Evaluate the knowledge and skills that are necessary to perform the job and establishes the job's duties, responsibilities, tasks and level of authority within the organization's job hierarchy
  • Full Cycle Recruitment of Technical and Non-Technical Positions 
    • Post into the ATS or external job sites
    • Source/Pipeline for Talent
    • Screen, Interview, and Assess Candidates
    • Recruitment Coordination (Scheduling Interviews, etc.) and Administration
    • Disposition and Candidate Care and Communications
    • Negotiate and Prepare Offer Letters
    • Manage Pre-hire Engagement and On-boarding
    • Ensure OFCCP/AAP Compliance and Audit Compliance
  • Staffing: Temporary Employees (recruitment and building of contingent workforce) 
    • Partner with the business to provide temporary staffing support as needed.
    • Manage and interact with third party vendors
  • Event Planning (Job Fairs, etc.) 
    • Plan for and execute events to identify targeted talent
  • University Relations 
    • Partner with colleges, universities, and trade schools to promote career opportunities with the organization

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited 4-year university is preferred
  • Three or more 3+ years of high volume full-cycle recruitment experience
  • Two or more 2+ years of in-house recruitment experience
  • Experience as a Technical Recruiter is a plus
  • Previous Agency experience is a plus

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in public speaking and presentations
  • Strong experience in social recruiting
  • Strong negotiation skills

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably iCIMS)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (advanced usage of MS Excel)

Travel Requirements:

  • 25%
