Technology Learning Specialist – Remote

The Amherst Group is searching for a Technology Learning Specialist who will support our enterprise software implementations and updates through their lifecycle. This job will be responsible for curating documentation and training employees to ensure they are competent and skilled for their jobs.

The Technology Learning Specialist is critical to the successful employee experience as they will develop, manage and lead employee learning programs within a variety of lines of business. The Technology Learning Specialist is responsible for curating procedural documentation and developing and facilitating learning programs that support business strategic initiatives. Programs will focus on job-specific skills training and personal development initiatives. The Technology Learning Specialist will partner with subject matter experts to document processes and design impactful learning materials, including instructor-led courses, online courses, job aids, reference guides, facilitator guides, participant guides and videos. The Technology Learning Specialist must have a passion for learning, for passing on knowledge to others and for helping employees grow and develop in their careers.

  • Create and maintain process documentation for line of business support.
  • Develop and deliver interactive, timely and essential training programs while actively collaborating with leaders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct needs analysis and make recommendations to business leaders regarding learning needs.
  • Create learning curricula including research, application of learning methodologies, creation of training materials, job aids and presentation materials.
  • Act as a learning liaison and consultant to business ideas, proposing, developing and matching learning needs with the appropriate learning solutions.
  • Facilitate learning sessions (virtually and in-person) and oversee all administrative tasks associated with facilitating sessions (i.e., attendance, engagement, progress improvement).
  • Project manage training projects and act as the business leader contact for all training questions and concerns.
  • Regularly review learning programs to ensure program and materials are effective and current. Partner with affiliated business leader to update and implement any changes.
  • General understanding of technical training and provide input on process flow, documentation and learner/user-centric.

What you’ll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education or similar from an accredited university.
  • Prior experience working with enterprise resource software training, such as Workday, Oracle, SalesForce, MS Dynamics, or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in Learning, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or Onboarding.
  • 3+ years of facilitation experience including on-the-job and soft skills delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and programs that support employee growth.
  • 2+ years of experience writing procedural documents with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of various training and teaching methods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven accomplishment in building relationships with customers and internal clients.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Experience with Workday and Salesforce a plus.
  • Experience using Captivate or the ability to quickly learn Captivate within 30 days after start date.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
