You will work alongside a highly experienced team of engineers from various academic and industry backgrounds.

What you’ll do:

Digital Platform Engineering:

Our team works on our high performance, petabyte scale data platform serving batch processing needs of the company. The team gathers digital advertising data from a variety of sources such as Google, Facebook, and partner networks. The data pipeline gets this information from different formats including Web APIs, vendor Java API's, CSV files, and JSON files. This data serves an Extract Transform Load (ETL) funnel.

Does learning how companies succeed with advertising with Google and Facebook interest you? Our team expands the data stream that aids digital marketing and data science teams to optimize digital advertising performance.

Data becomes easily usable information used to acquire business knowledge. You will contribute to our data pipeline, and you will help fuel our business.

You will gain software engineering experience. You will grow, you will succeed, and you will put your skills into real world practice.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) latest technologies
  • Amazon S3 storage
  • File formats including Parquet, JSON, and CSV
  • Apache Spark
  • Qubole
  • Airflow Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) job orchestration
  • Apache Hive and SQL tables
  • Maven for buildsvSLF4J logging
  • Unit testing
  • Systems to monitor and alert on production jobs
  • Slack, Confluence, and Jira
  • Java, Scala, and SQL for coding
  • Linux, Unix, OS X

Who you are:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Excellent software development skills utilizing Java
  • Knowledge of Scala beneficial
  • Desire to learn ETL
  • Organized problem-solving skills
  • Experience with consuming web APIs
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/OS X environments preferred
  • Interest or experience working with Databases
