Event Management Intern
RapidDeploy is hiring an Event Management Intern to grow our team based in Austin, TX. This is a paid internship, and a unique opportunity to gain experience in a fast-growing enterprise software company that is saving lives
Our mission is to reduce emergency response times and increase situational awareness for first responders. Our cloud-based emergency dispatch platform & 911 analytics software is the future of emergency response. We’re replacing dinosaurs and their legacy on-premise solutions that are expensive and hard to deploy, don’t scale, and are years behind in terms of features & interfaces. In the last 6 months, we’ve signed major customers and have increased our recurring revenue more than tenfold. In this new stage of growth, we’re looking for passionate, dedicated team members who will play a critical part in building the foundation of our team.

What you’ll be doing at RapidDeploy:
Reporting to our Sales Operations Associate, the Event Management Intern will gain experience managing complex logistics, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, event management, and working with CRM systems. Specifically, the Event Management Intern will be responsible for the below tasks:
- Generate ideas for creative events, including but not limited to coordination with Marketing on Product Launches, coordination with People Operations on employee-facing events, and coordination with Account Management on customer facing events. Event Management Intern will help manage events from conception to execution.
- With guidance from the Account Management team, research the public safety event landscape, and propose international, national, and local events for RapidDeploy participation and/or sponsorship.
- In partnership with the Sales Operations Associate, coordinate conference staffing, scheduling, and register RapidDeploy employees for relevant conferences and events.
- Coordinate booth setup & logistics at Trade Shows, in partnership with the Sales Operations Associate.
- Coordinate travel for staff members attending the conference.
- Prepare briefing packs and documentation for event.
- Communicate the event execution plan and team member expectations to Account Management and Customer Success teams, as well as external venue partners.
- Assist in conducting event-after action meetings, and ensure proper event follow-up.
