Front End Software Engineer Intern
Q2 is looking for talented individuals with exceptional technical curiosity and is enthusiastic about solving problems.
The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 24th - August 12th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program. This position will be an in office/hybrid role. Due to this being an in office/hybrid role, it is preferred the intern is located in Austin or surrounding areas.
As a Front End Software Engineer Intern you will gain front end technical skills and a better understanding of agile software development practices by being part of a team that works on real features for our product suite. The intern will get exposure to a variety of Front End development technologies as well as understanding how different teams across the organization collaborate together to deliver first class software to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, integrate, and test high performance software solutions that interact with end users and integrate with internal and external services
- Active participation in scrum ceremonies including grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint demo, and retrospectives
Major: Computer Science or similar
Class: Rising Junior or Senior
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication
- Excellent Microsoft products (excel, word, PPT) a must.
- Development experience with advanced JavaScript frameworks (Ember, Vue, Angular, React)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working with SCRUM or Agile framework preferred.
