Who You Are
The Ontic marketing team is growing! We’re looking for a passionate, motivated marketing intern who will support the marketing team in various initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness. Your fingerprints will be on all aspects of our B2B Account-Based Marketing strategy that includes demand generation, virtual events, product marketing, and marketing operations. The ideal intern will have a mixture of creative and analytical abilities with lots of willingness to learn and eagerness to own initiatives that make a real impact on the company.
Our marketing intern’s responsibilities will include:
Sales enablement & product marketing:
Conduct audits to identify more target prospect accounts
Maintain data cleanliness and campaign tracking in Salesforce
Own weekly internal newsletter with competitor, industry, and client news
Virtual events:
Audit lists of event attendees to identify qualified prospects
Assist with logistical support (research, managing invitation lists, mailing thank you gifts, etc.)
Demand generation:
Set up campaigns to track marketing programs in Salesforce and Marketo.
Keep our lead lifecycle machine running smoothly and identify ways to optimize our current setup
Content:
Help to maintain our marketing calendar (editorial, campaigns, press releases, events, etc.)
Conduct research for blogs, whitepapers, etc.
Social media:
Help manage Ontic social channels, establishing a regular sharing cadence of both owned and external content, encouraging employee participation, and reporting on results
Reporting & analytics:
Help pull reports in Salesforce, Marketo, and Google Analytics and mine data for insights
Website:
Using WordPress, post bylines, press releases, media mentions, etc.
Assist in optimizing site for SEO
People operations:
Assist with employee onboarding
Help manage special projects
Here’s what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
- Rising junior or senior in a marketing, communications, advertising, MIS or other related major
- Comfort with hitting deadlines, executive-level visibility into your work, and owning tactical initiatives that directly impact the company’s growth
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- Interest in physical security technology a plus
- Show a high degree of self-motivation and work well both as an individual and within team environment
- Available to work during the fall semester on a part-time basis virtually with potential to extend through the spring
- Excitement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
