At Civitas Learning, Product Managers execute product strategy and drive product requirements for our core products designed to help colleges and universities ensure their students succeed and graduate. We are looking for exceptional and highly-motivated Product Management Interns to join our growing Product team. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside the Product team to help manage, design, and execute product needs and prioritization that will provide the next generation experience to our partner institutions.

Ideal candidates will be analytical, results oriented individuals with excellent communication skills and have a passion for understanding underlying user problems, making decisions with lack of information, and cross-collaborating with various teams. Interns should be eager to take initiative, learn, and solve problems to design best-in-class product features tailored to users at universities and colleges. This opportunity to gain hands-on product development experience will include a major strategic project the intern will fully own, as well as mentorship opportunities to partner with Product team and other stakeholders to make impactful changes/updates to our internal processes. This is a 30 hour/week, paid internship.

Responsibilities

• Research and propose a strategy for new product capabilities. Analysis will include vendor evaluation, cost/revenue projections, integration considerations, user experience research, etc.
• Develop a proposal for a product migration/transition strategy through gap analysis and user testing.
• Develop a process for the organization and quantification of product feature requests to help internal teams further refine prioritization process.
• Through product analysis, assist with improving the way we report, track, and organize product metrics (i.e., adoption metrics, product feedback requests, product trainings, product marketing campaigns, etc.) across teams.
• Partner directly with product owners to ensure stories are clearly defined and properly communicated.
• Work with development teams to iteratively answer ongoing questions when refining features.

Requirements

• In pursuit of an undergraduate degree or MBA (preferred).
• Strong project management skills.
• Working familiarity with Excel, Powerpoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
• Familiarity forming and presenting strategic business proposals.
• Previous internship experience would be a plus.

*Students not located currently in Austin, Texas will be responsible for covering all expenses associated with relocation to Austin. (ie. travel, lodging, transportation, food, etc.)
